Pokemon Center Singapore unveils Jewel Changi plans

Pokemon Center Singapore has unveiled a mock-up of its Jewel Changi store set to open next month. Pokemon Center Singapore is expected to be smaller or about the same size as Pokemon Center Kyoto, which is currently one of the smallest Pokemon Centers in Japan.

The store has the same look and feel as the Japanese outlets. A giant statue of Lapras, Pikachu, and Celebi, the Pokemon characters featured on Pokemon Center Singapore’s official logo, greets visitors at the entrance.

Green wallpaper is mixed with bamboo and wood decorations around the store, to match with the lush greenery in Jewel Changi, home to thousands of trees.

There will be a space allocated for events such as Pikachu and Eevee meet and greets, video-game tournaments, and Pokemon TCG tournaments.

The Pokemon Company’s subsidiary Pokemon Singapore has been seeking staff for the store since January and plans to open the same day as the new mall.
