Who owns the prediction? Who is liable when forecasts fail? And who gets to choose between what is statistically better and what is subjectively desired?

In this sense, the new science of health is both empowering and destabilizing. It frees patients from uncertainty, while placing them inside systems they may not fully understand. It creates precision, but often without explanation.
